Have you memorized any Scripture? If so, how has that impacted your life? If not, how do you think you could begin to memorize Scripture?

When I was young I had to memorize Scripture for Sunday school course. I look back today and saw the impact it had on my life and the dissuasions I had to make. Today, I like to memorize verses I have my students learn. We say them in Chapel and when we look at a problem in course, we refer back to the memorized Scripture.

Yes and in times of need those are always the ones I go to.

Any Scripture I have memorized has come up quite often whenever a situation concerns the subject matter. It has made me more aware of the ability of God’s Word to saturate every part of my life.

I have deliberately memorized many Scriptures. Some other I know by frequent use. So many times the right verse comes to mind at just the right time.

My very first Scripture was John 3: 16 as it is the base of my salvation. Psalms 23 was another favorite of mine, as it helps strengthen me through difficulties arisen in my life knowing that God is always by my side. I still need to memorize many more and making it intentional in my daily walk with the Lord.
