As a child, I have memorized many verses. I still remember them all. I still try, it is much harder now. If I record it and listen to the recording over and over, I can memorize it much easier.

One of my favorite verses is: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” I can memorize other Scripture repeating it over and over again, but most importantly by living it!

When I was very young, I was in the AWANA program at my church that involved a lot of Scripture memorization. When I worked in the summers during college, I memorized the entire book of Titus. This was one of the most fruitful methods of Bible study I’ve ever done. I really took the time to study it, to memorize it, and to teach it to one of my friends. I have not been able to have that much focused time since then, but I am striving to get back to memorization.

When I was younger I frequently memorized passages from Scripture. I was part of a young boys and girls club called, Pathfinders, and we were required to memorize passages. It has impacted my life in positive ways.
