Have you memorized any Scripture? If so, how has that impacted your life? If not, how do you think you could begin to memorize Scripture?

I have memorized and will continue to memorize Scripture. It is amazing how easily it comes to the front of my mind when I need it.

I had a great foundation and like our speaker scripture often comes back to me when I need it.

I have memorized some Scripture in my life, but it has been a while. I know a lot of the stories and refer to them in my life, but I am not great about remembering what verse it is. I could work on memorizing scripture as I incorporate it into my lessons.

I memorized Scriptures at various time in my life. I am dyslexic and find memorization very difficult, especially now that I am in my 50’s. But recently I was introduced to an app, Bible Memory, that has helped me get back into it. The verses do not stick in my brain very long, but I continue to try. Recently I lost a close friend, a spiritual father to Covid. His las words were “Isaiah 12:2.” So I took to memorizing it. “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

It has had a tremendously impact. I feel that it has made me wise beyond my years. I can know right from wrong based on the scriptures and discern God’s will because I have His word in my heart.
