I have memorized scripture all my life. I treasure the time my mother helped me memorize Psalm 23. I still remember going over each line with her as she helped me relate what I was memorizing to my own life as a seven year old child. That verse is a source of comfort and sweet memory of my mother. I hold scripture in my heart and so gladly draw on it in my daily life.

Yes, I have memorized Scripture. It is often better to memorize it by just being more acquainted with it than learning it rote. It means more to a heart that way. It impacts life to dwell in the Word and He in you, to interact with it in mind, heart, soul.

Yes, in challenging times because I have hidden God’s word in my heart I,ve depended on scripture memorization to comfort myself and others.

I have a few passages memorized and I call on them frequently. It helps remind me who I should approach others and difficult situations or people. I need to memorize more and that all starts with spending more time in the Scripture.
