I have not tried this at a time of devotion and I must try it. I know God likes to hear our sincere prayer.

This is something I have never done, I’ve never even thought of it. This is a good example of why I’m taking this course.

Yes! There are many areas in my life that I need His strength to function how He calls me to. He is always faithful. Sometimes I need courage, sometimes I need patience, sometimes I read a passage and read it again, and ask Him to show me what He wants me to glean from it. I tend to try in my own strength first, but then realize how much I need His strength to function. Not sure why I just don’t start there. Sometimes my time with Him seems like drudgery because I know I should, and people hold me accountable to read His Word – and I ask the Lord to give me strength and help my heart in those moments.

Yes, I have sought the Lord for His help in this area daily for some time now. But I realize that it’s not just asking in prayer for His strength but depending or should I say turning to Him and pressing in towards Him when I notice that other things (pressures or distractions or earthly responsibilities) aim to impede their demands upon me and distract or take me from spending time with Him. I remind myself that the evil one uses all matter of methods (weapons of warfare) to deviate us as God’s children from the path but I also remind myself that I have overcome because Christ has given us victory and as a result I (we) have freedom and strength from His indwelling spirit to overcome and devote our selves to Him.

yes, I have and the “problem” or “aggravating situation” became so spiritually distant in my soul, so minute. I felt at peace and moved on to something else.
