I find that I have to make a decision to surrender each and every day. It is an open door to his divine power working in me.

When I try to do things in my own power and my own timing and way it usually ends in defeat or disappointment.

I pray regularly that God would change my heart and give me the strength to stop judging others, to stop comparing myself with others, and to stop critizing others. These I would do often, but wanted to stop after spending time in God’s word. I needed God’s help to stop doing these things, I couldn’t stop on my own even when I tried. I find peace in loving people as they are, when my heart or mind seems to be pulling back to the old habits, I find that God reminds me that He loves them just as they are.

Yes, sometimes in my life I just have to take a deep breathe and a step back and let God handle the situation.
