Yes. Usually there’s an overwhelming sense of peace in releasing my “doing” and allowing God to step in as He should. Reminds me of my need and total dependence on God.

Yes sometimes I think that my own human efforts of if I just pray harder would allow more opportunity to see the Lord show up. But that’s not the case I see in scripture that my heart is always aligned with the Lord and then the Lord will show up mightily and work within me

It reminds me that God sees me weaknesses anyway and it also reminds me that I can’t even desire God in my own strength.

Yes, I do this often in marriage and other relationships. It is incredible how God can provide renewed focus, listening ears, compassion, respect, and more when I take the time to depend on him.

The big ways I’ve sought God in prayer over the years is to change my attitude, give me a heart for Him and for His people, to work through me with my bible teachings, in my witnessing with people, seeing personal and marital growth, and excitement to follow Him. An overwhelming sense of excitement, clarity, wisdom, love, and joy came from it! It brought to life what I was trying to do out of a deficit.
