Have you sought to exchange your own human effort for divine strength? What happened?

Yes, I have done this at times, but I think it is a constant struggle for me. My personality is such that I try to just give more effort and be more disciplined, and it was very helpful for me to be reminded that I should exchange my human effort for divine strength, especially as it pertains to being “in the mood” to spend time with God. When I have done this in the past, it has helped me avoid distraction and recenter my heart on the Lord. It has literally helped me to focus during my time with God.

Yes, I have had to do that often. When I was intentional about truly giving things over to the Lord, He came through for me.

There have been several times in my life that I have had to rely on His strength. I know I am human and cannot handle every situation that is thrown my way if I don’t have his strength.

Yes, I find out that I can’t do nothing by my own. I feel revived.
