In the past I talked a lot and didn’t allow for as much dialogue early in my evangelical walk …. sharing the Gospel much later in my walk looks very diffferent.

When sharing Christ the experience I have had most people don’t understand that it’s a personal relationship and not about being a good person or that their parents were Christians. To get the person to understand that is somewhat tricky because they just don’t understand what salvation is all about.

I have told family members about Christ. When I first started sharing the gospel with family members I think that I was too aggressive. I was passionate and wanted to convince them about Jesus rather than share what knowledge I had and let the Holy Spirit influence them. In the future I will try to listen more and make it a conversation rather than a debate.

I listened to their story, connected it to mine and then brought in how the Lord worked in and through me. I had to listen to them and who they are to make them feel heard and seen.

I have tried to tell others about Christ in the past. Listening to their thoughts and feelings helped me understand what they trust in outside of the Bible as well as some common reasons why people who are not believers dispute the Bible. It helped me to work towards a better command of apologetics and motivated me to study my Bible even more in order to find passages and scripture that may help them see the truth in Jesus Christ and the Word of God. The Romans Road is helpful.
