I have learned to listen more and allow the conversation to form as it needs to.

I definitely need to listen more. Way too often I jump to the Jesus before asking about who they are and why they are the way they are. I also think it’s important to not expect immediate results. It’s important to remember that Jesus is the only one who saves.

Slowing down, meeting the person where they are at and discerning the Holy Spirit’s direction is profoundly relational in sharing Christ. Trusting in the Lord and waiting for the harvest is crucial. Moving too fast, not respecting boundaries and pushing Christ on somebody can cause a rift and a withdrawing from Christ.

Yes. Listening is the key to know where they are at and how to assist them in their walk. I think that finding time, slowing down and walking along side potential new believers is the best way to disciple and assist them in their new faith.

Yes, I’ve told others about Christ.

The conversations only took place with listening & dialogue. I wouldn’t have known where each person was at in their spiritual journey if I hadn’t listened. It helped me to have sensitivity to the Holy Spirit to lead me to ask more questions and let the person know that I was interested in them, not just trying to push my beliefs on them.
