I have shared with groups of individuals and a combination of the Gospel and my personal testimony. Listening and dialogue are very important as people have questions after sharing.

As a missionary, I have had the opportunity to share Christ with others on many occasions. It is imperative to listen and have open dialogue during these interactions as this gives you an idea of where the person is in their journey, how much they are able to absorb at any time, and when they have reached their limit of true understanding so that they can process. Nothing, in my experience, turns people off than presenting the Gospel as if you have an agenda. Plowing on to get your point across, makes them feel as though it is all about you and nothing about them.

The first time I was asked to share what I believe about Christ, it was a complete trainwreck. I knew what I believed, but had a hard time articulating my thoughts. Now I try to engage more conversationally asking questions to gage where the other person might be spiritually before launching into a gospel presentation. I really like “the four” tool sharing how God loves you, sin separates you, Jesus rescues you, will you trust Jesus?

I have gone with someone from my church witnessing in a park . I tried to start a conversation about what they thought about the state of the country, if they were concerned, and then switched to ask if they thought about heaven . The conversation went from there. Nobody made decision but it was a big step for me! I am still trying to get my children interested but no success.
