Deleted User08/22/2024 at 15:09Yes, I have shared the gospel with others in the past. The role of listening helped me to understand their spiritual journey. The role of dialogue allowed me to answer question and build a relationship with them.

listening and dialogue helped for each party to understand each other’s point of view, it helps others not feel forced, but instead they open up.
These techniques can possibly be used more effectively, starting with a testimony about a situation that happened to the listener and making the message more relatable.

Deleted User08/01/2024 at 20:22The old adage, “no one cares what you know until they know that you care”, may have been spoken about sharing the gospel. Listening is a key part of caring. Too often we believe we need to “defend our faith”, but we stand on truth. If we listen with honest intent, the Holy Spirit will reveal the cracks in someone’s false religion and expose the confusion and contempt they live with, but you have to listen with care to get to that place. Then, you have a precious opportunity. Not to talk down to them or get defensive about differences, but share how you have also sat in that same confusion and contempt and have been restored from it.
