Often. Over the decades I’ve used many methods; Roman’s Road, examples of life transformations from Scripture, personal testimony, The Bridge, Your Most Important Relationship, etc.
Listening is vital. It guides the next step in the conversation, whether to continue sharing, offer new information, let the thoughts rest awhile or suggest a personal response.
I’ve found that by listening and asking probing questions, I can impact anyone’s faith or lack of faith, enough to get them to at least consider that God may have a way for them. -
Yes, I have shared about Christ before. In my early years, I didn’t know of any method and might not have shared in any orderly manner. Later I learnt to use the Four Spiritual Laws from Campus Crusade and the Bridge illustration from the Navigators, even the rather complicated method of Evangelism Explosion. Still later in life, I conclude that there isn’t necessarily a “best” method. It is indeed the sincerity as a friend, conveyed through your listening and dialogue, that opens the heart of a person to talk to you and listen to the gospel.

Yes I did, when I was doing evangelism abroad. I had spoken to people of the Muslim faith. I listened to them speak about their faith, why they believed in their religion. During the conversation I had tried to counter what they said with the truth about God and the route to salvation. It’s usually not an easy task to win them over. Usually these ones were quite steep in their faith.

For the longest time, while I believe that those who do not know Christ personally is lost for eternity, that belief never grips my heart. However over the past 5 years, it has become a conviction that I am learning to weave into my interaction especially with my non-believers contact. I found they are most engaged when I bring the gospel into the context of what they are going through in their lives, especially with their difficulties. That means listening carefully to them, asking them questions, and responding in love and understanding. In some sense, I am learning that you need to earn the right to be heard. I am working towards earning that right!

Yes, I have shared with others about Christ. Found it helpful if it is a 2-way conversation or dialogue rather than a mini-lecture. Have used tool such as Four Spiritual Laws, Bridge to Life and Evangelistic Bible Study using John Gospel (usually John 1-3).
