I’ve told others about Christ and the effectiveness is not based on following a pre-set series of scriptures but in listening to the person express interests, experiences, concerns and questions. Based on what they say, God gives me bible examples or scriptures or current examples from my life or the lives of others to tie in God’s grace, existence, presence, or instructions. It’s always an uplifting time for me regardless of the outcome become I am clear that God, not me, who determines who enters His Kingdom.

Yes I have told others about the way of salvation and dialogue is very important so they will feel heard, cared for, understood, and come to understand the truth. I need to learn more about asking open ended questions for deeper dialogue.

Listening and dialogue play an important part in proclaiming the Gospel to nonbelievers as well as to believers. For many years I have proclaimed the Gospel primarily to believers. I’ve been doing this in church settings, like bible studies and women’s courses, and also one on one.
Over the years, It has been amazing to see how many believers are under performance and are agonizing because they can’t make the perceived standard (stop sinning) and are wondering if they will lose their salvation.
However, many other believers are content to follow the process, prevalent in most of Christianity right now, that if they confess their ‘sins’ to God and ask for His forgiveness, they will remain ”right with God” and won’t lose their salvation.
Both groups are in dire need of hearing the True Gospel which the Lord gave to Nicodemus in John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” NIV

Under the New Covenant, eternal life is granted by the Father to any one simply by believing in His Son Jesus Christ. Then the Holy Spirit marks the believer with a seal which guarantees his salvation.
Belief in the Son is the only requirement under the New Covenant. John 3:18

Yes, I have shared Christ in the past. I asked the person questions about herself and her spiritual journey and shared my own journey. Then I transitioned to the gospel using the Four Spiritual Laws. I was able to lead the person in accepting Christ into her life through a simple prayer of faith.
