I haven’t been very active in spreading the word of God, I admit. I’m a very quiet person usually. I do openly share what I learnt in church and the Bible with my parents. My friends are all Christians, and I have yet to power through my weakness when it comes to spreading the word to strangers. I keep telling myself that I’ll actively spread the word after I’ve read enough of the Bible. Then our Lord would remind me that Paul did not even have the Bible when he began his ministry. I’m sorry my Lord, for being weak and of little faith. Please, forgive me and remove my doubts.

I actually get to talk about Christ for my job working for FCA! Although mostly it is in groups of 20-30, I have been able to talk about him in personal, one on one conversations.

Yes. Listening has been vital, though, admittedly, a lot of my sharing has been in corporate settings where I’m doing more talking. I need to work on finding more individual opportunities to share Christ and/or challenge people’s faith.

At first, I use listening more than anything in order to discover “where the person is” in terms of faith. I do this by asking pertinent, non-invasive questions. I encourage them to ask questions or probe what it is they believe at the moment, in a “Have you ever thought about ***?” motif. l That way, I find out where they are in their thinking and can subtly direct the dialogue forward. The tone must NEVER be an attempt to brainwash, but to ask questions such as “Ever wonder why people who are totally successful still lack joy in their lives?”
