I have learned not to over communicate when sharing about Christ. Allowing room for comments, questions or even just digestion of information is incredibly important.

I can compare the person I was to the person that God is helping me to become. While I have a long way to go I can contrast the time when I was bitter and unforgiving to the different me today. I can share that God’s love has transformed me. I can share that Jesus loves me even though I am a sinner and that He died for me and made me a part of His family. I can be more effective when I listen better and relate to the other person’s life experiences.

Yes. What I know to be true about Christ is that He completes everyone. However, that void, that incomplete feeling, is different for different people. What I have found to be effective is the best way to introduce Christ to someone is to introduce Christ as someone who can meet that need (whatever it is).
Do you have a longing to see justice done in the world? Let me introduce you to a perfectly just God.
Do you struggle with your identity? Let me introduce someone who wants to adopt you into His family.
Do you wrestle with finding meaning/purpose in life? Let me introduce you to the one who holds all things together.
And so on.The best way to find out what someone’s need is (in my experience) is for them to tell you themselves. Hear their story. Really listen. Ask questions.

Yes. Most of the time it is one way with me sharing but I learn now I should listen more and ask them questions. Will put what I learnt into practice.

Yes.
I have come to realize that people hope for genuine conversation, rather than scripted. I do follow several different frameworks based on the situation, but I typically have to listen to where they are at to even know how to address what the Holy Spirit leads me to say.
I do see a need in myself to be even more attentive to their words, AND the Holy Spirit rather than working off of formulaic conversation tools.
