I have told others about Christ using the Roman road before and I am currently using it now as part of the prayer of faith.

Yes I have. Mainly I’ve told people about my faith in God and how I came to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. I just look for opportunities to speak on how faith in Jesus changed my life. The opportunity to share my story or answer general questions about God. I listen and ask the Holy Spirit to help me with words and not be overbearing.
Nonbelievers or nominal believers think by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that by their own efforts, change their lives, not knowing that it is the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit working on our heart, mind and soul to change us.

My experience with sharing about Christ has been “all or nothing”. I have shared with people that are already believers and so are in complete agreement with everything I say or I have shared with people who don’t believe and seem determined to prove me wrong rather than carry on an honest dialogue. In the future, I would love to carry on a conversation with someone who is truly seeking.

No, I have never led anyone to Christ. When people ask me where my hope comes from, I tell more of God’s character.

I have told others about Christ in the past and I don’t believe I was as effective as I could have been because it came off too judgemental. I believe that going forward I will start by listening to what the individual is saying and then tailor my response to the need that person has and show them how a relationship with Jesus can help them.
