Yes, I have told others about Christ some were easy to talk to and others posed opposition.
listening and dialogue helped for each party to understand each other’s point of view, it helps others not feel forced, but instead they open up.
These techniques can possibly be used more effectively, starting with a testimony about a situation that happened to the listener and making the message more relatable.

The old adage, “no one cares what you know until they know that you care”, may have been spoken about sharing the gospel. Listening is a key part of caring. Too often we believe we need to “defend our faith”, but we stand on truth. If we listen with honest intent, the Holy Spirit will reveal the cracks in someone’s false religion and expose the confusion and contempt they live with, but you have to listen with care to get to that place. Then, you have a precious opportunity. Not to talk down to them or get defensive about differences, but share how you have also sat in that same confusion and contempt and have been restored from it.

Looking for an open door or when someone is wanting to know is a good opportunity. Being open to dialogue with them on their current beliefs is key and the ability to plant a seed and continue to come back to nourish it is important also.

Yes I regularly tell my small group about my faith and share my faith with others that I work with. But I love the simplicity of the suggestions made in this lecture for witnessing to others. I am definitely going to use this strategy.
