Where I live the summer is hot and dry, the winter cold and moist

Actually, I live in Texas, so it is somewhat similar. We really only have two seasons, summer and winter as well. We receive more moisture during the winter months and the summer months are extremely hot.

We have hot and humid summers but with fairly frequent thunderstorms. In the winter, it is definitely colder and we get occasional snow, but mostly rain.

In Florida the hurricane season begins June through the end of November. Rain builds up on the water both in the north and south and we can pretty depend on rains at 4:00 during the summer. North Florida can grow Live Oaks, the south can’t. Palm trees aren’t prevalent in north Florida as they are in the south. Winter in north Florida can have a freezer, south Floridians only need to put on a sweater. Thank goodness we don’t have Khamsin winds, hot dry dirty air is harsh.

The seasons are somewhat similar in that winters are colder than summer. The weather is more intense, broader fluctuations of temperatures, with blizzards, thunderstorms, and sometimes tornadoes.
