I would just like to know some basics so that I can better understand when I hear others talk about biblical Greek or when I read an interlinear

I’m not sure “why,” I want to learn Greek. I just know that I like to try reading the Greek sentences before looking at Scripture, because it often gives an appreciation for meaning and possible meanings. In the struggle of figuring out what a Greek word means and how it works in the grammar I hope that it drives a meaning deeper into my heart. I’ve studied it on my own for a long time and give up when I can’t remember what I need to remember (learning prepositions is always the wall that I hit) then I start again later.

Just the much that can help me understand the interpretations of the Bible.

At the moment, I am learning another language besides Greek. For now, I just want to learn enough Greek to be able to check the English-Greek inter-linear Bible, whenever it puzzles me why the English Bible phrases a verse in such a way. Perhaps in the future, when I can concentrate on one language at a time, then I would like to be able to read the Greek Bible in my devotions.

I’d like to go all the way with Greek, going as deep as I can but acknowledging it will be a challenge.
