How did the principle of two-way communication (prayer and Bible reading) impress you? Why?

I’ve just been learning about listening more to God and I’m excited for what He’ll say. I’m very excited to hear Him because I know I’ve talked more than listened in the past.

It will allow me to speak to God about what I’ve read and to ask him questions. Also, it will allow me to hear additional revelations from Him. It’s the hallmark of building a dynamic relationship.

A little intimidating, because it will take some time.

God speaks to us through His word and His Spirit. He can also use other believers to speak truth into our lives. As we spend time in God’s word He can speak to us as we choose to listen to His still small voice and go to Him in prayer. When we pray we need to pause and just listen for God, through His Spirit He can communicate with us.

Just a very practical way to look at how God has wrote us a love letter and He wants us to respond based off how He loves us. We sometimes don’t look at these things as applicable but they are and this really makes that clear.
