In the spiritual two-way communication it is rightly mentioned that usually the content of the scripture is ignored and our needs and petitions are sent upwards.
The fact that every illustration in the Bible has a biblical context and how it can be applied in today’s context is something that is overlooked. It was mentioned that the Holy Spirit will change our thoughts, speech and behaviour when we allow Him to apply the spiritual principles we find in God’s Word. This allows us to examine ourselves, understand where we need to transform and respond back to God in prayer by specifically requesting God to help us change as well as expressing our gratitude for revealing these truths by speaking through His Word. This is just amazing how God speaks through His Word and we can respond to Him in prayers. -
It emphasized the importance of digesting His word to understand what He is trying to communicate to me and how I need to apply it to my life.

It is really impressive. We talk to God through prayer and God talk to us through His word. To mean it also implied if I am seeking a prophetic word for my life, read the Word of God.

I thought the two-way communication was good. I especially liked the tips on how to read the Scripture (what did it say, what did it mean, and how does it apply to me).

Prayer is talking to God. Bible reading is God talking back to me. The two really impress me because they are time with God.
