How did the principle of two-way communication (prayer and Bible reading) impress you? Why?

Sometimes I forget to “listen” for God to speak to me. In my bible study I read or in prayer I petition but I need to be mindful to wait for God to respond.

With Adam and Eve, God took the initiative. Also, about lovers not needing prompting to find time to spend together. I know too many people who pray to God, but don’t read His word. My question to them is how do you get your answers? It’s exciting when God talks to us.
