How did the principle of two-way communication (prayer and Bible reading) impress you? Why?

It helped me to realize that both are forms of communication. I now understand that He speaks to me through both methods.

I had already accepted that principle. I believe that’s how God intended for us to communicate with Him. We pray to say what’s on our minds or in our hearts, then we read His word to hear what He has to tell us about our situation.

Prayer is the question and Bible reading is the answers. It’s amazing how this works. Praise be to God.

In the past, my prayers had little to do with his word. Recently, I have gotten to where I have made my prayers more specific, to include passages from the Bible. However, I need to talk to God about what I am reading when I read the Bible. I think this would help with my understanding.

I know you have to pray first before you start your Bible reading. The Holy Spirit will direct you on what passage of scripture that you should focus on.
