I completely agree that God speaks to us through His Word. He reveals His thoughts, words, and character to me through the words of scripture through the highlighting of the Holy Spirit.

Bible reading helps bring thoughts to mind that give me insight, and praying is my way of communicating with God on these things.

The principle of two-way communication (prayer and Bible reading) strikes me as a communion between God and me.
Because He doesn’t just speak to us one-way but He communicates with us, God speaks to us through the Bible and He delights in hearing our prayers and blessing us in that relationship.

The fact that a Holy God would want to so personally connect and speak with us sinful people, should blow our minds.

I never thought that reading bible verses was the way God spoke with me. I always knew when I prayed I was talking to God.
