How did the principle of two-way communication (prayer and Bible reading) impress you? Why?

This is so important. If I only talked to my husband and never listened, we would not have a very good relationship. It is same with our relationship with God.

The fact that the Lord of Heaven and earth would want to commune and speak to ME is unfathomably amazing! God is still speaking

Prayer is when we can express our hearts and minds to God. Bible reading is when we can clearly hear God’s heart.

If we’re too busy doing all the talking, we don’t allow ourselves any time to listen to what God has to say.

A great reminder of how our relationship with God is two-way. Not only do we get to speak to Him / take our requests to Him, but we also get to listen and hear Him.
