Jesus says, He who has ears to hear let him hear. I believe we are called to listen for the voice of God through His WOrd, the Bible and yield to what He shows us to do.

Jesus was always saying, “He who has ears to hear, let Him hear?” Prayer is more about listening then speaking. God gave us 2 ears, but only one mouth.

For me listening is important whether I’m reading scripture or praying. I am not interested in circling myself. My desire is to hear from the Father and to have a heart cultivated to follow Him.

I truly never looked at this in this way before. I thought pray was the path of communication because we present God with our desires and He answers. I guess I never thought about reading His word a a means of communication from God. This opens my eyes to why I never felt I would receive a “Yes” from God.
