How did the principle of two-way communication (prayer and Bible reading) impress you? Why?

Now that I understand that the Bible is our love letter from God, it gives me a new perspective on really trying to understand what God has to say to us. Sometimes, we can get caught up on expressing our needs to God only and just ignoring the Love Letter.

I like to pray and read the Bible. I like to pray first, and ask God to give me a good understanding of what I am reading, and to let it be valuable in my daily life and encounters with people

I’m much more focused on my agenda, so the two-way is a more relational approach to God. My talking all the time must be boring to Him.

God reviles Himself in scripture and prayer. I can feel His presence and His Word comes alive in me.
