This principle laid out a practical and easy to follow means of having a meaningful Bible study and open communication with God. Therefore it is useful to me because I can use it to more effectively apply what I read and study to my own life. It is a great way to make the word of God come to life and better relate it to me.

A good reminder that this is a relationship.. God desires to hear and know our hearts and also wants us to seek to know HIM and express our love and admiration of Him. Reading the Word of God needs to be more for me than a duty or discipline, but a delight as I spend time allowing Him to speak to me.

I typically learn in the morning and pray in throughout the day. I like the idea of taking time to do both things for better two-way communication with God.

i never really thought about it, but after going through this lesson, I realized that often I would start praying about what I read. but this concept inspired me to talk with Jesus about each passage, as my father who wrote me a letter and is waiting for my response. this was a great revelation to me

I have recently learned more about this idea of meditating on God’s word and actually responding to it and I’ve begun applying it. After I read, I talk to God about what I just read and I ask him to help me perceive how it applies to my life. I love the thought in this lesson that if someone writes you a love letter and then you respond with just a list of things you need/want from them…how is that a healthy relationship? The same applies to our relationship with God.
