What a great God we serve , he took on every weakness of mine so I can overcome in him. My head is bowed in perpetuity for who he is and what he’s done.

I am still studing now. I want to learn more and grow in deeper love for the Savior. I feel like if I come to him for my hunger i will fall in deeper love.

This was great! The Holy Spirit was ministering to me, and I would write down what the Holy Spirit was revealing to me, and it would get confirmed later in the course. I learned about Jesus Christ’s deity and manhood via “New Testament Basics,” so part two was more of a confirmation and deeper understanding of who Jesus was. The entire lecture was more of a confirmation of what I’ve learned in my private time with the Triune God. I am excited to dive deeper into theology. Oh, another thing was that I have been living out the theology of God for the past 6 months and had not made the connection until now. Everything that God has been doing in me is theology. The theology of God has been what has been transforming my inner man.

Also, I would like to say that the doctrine of Christ, as it relates to his death, was transformative and revelational to me. This is what I wrote in my notes as the Holy Spirit was ministering to me.

Jesus’ death is the display of both the justice of God and the mercies of God.

    • Justice in that God’s justice was satisfied.
    • Mercy in that an innocent man died a guilty criminal’s death so that we did not have to.
    • You can have justice and mercy (forgiveness) at the same time.
    • Justice, no matter how brutal, can be merciful and forgiving at the same time.
    • Justice is love.

My love for the Savior in the study of the doctrine deepened in that now I have a deeper understanding of God who came to earth as a human being to show his love to me when I was yet in my sin and then died an agonizing death just for me even when I did not want part of Jesus.
