Students look to teachers to answer the big questions. Especially in Science – Biology regarding origin of life and evolution. We begin with the firm foundation that God is our creator and that we are made in God’s image. That foundation is the basis of everything.

Any one who spends more than five minutes in a classroom understands the truth the children are full of questions. The questions they ask are important to them, even if they aren’t always important to the class as a whole. The big questions of life, however, are significant for the life and trajectory of the students in my classroom. I have an obligation as a Christian educator to point them to Biblical answers in regards to creation, life’s purpose, and the salvation of Christ. Being well-versed in sharing these truths is vital for the successful Christian classroom.

Children copy what we do, not what we say. We should model for them on how to be anchored in Christ.

By teaching students who they are in Christ and anchoring them to God’s word, it will help them weather the storms of their life by giving them the secure foundation that can only be found in Jesus.

Students look to their teachers to answer their questions, they don’t always verbalize. So, if these concepts are set in our everyday philosophy, we will impart constantly.
