I teach Algebra and Geometry. I incorporate that the language of math is understood regardless of the language spoken by the tongue. I declare man’s attempt to understand God and creation through mathematics and teach how faith and miracles can not be explained through rational thinking. The Power of God made manifest in the lives of students brings proof the Bible is real and God’s power is living.

The big questions in life such as, “Who am I, what is my purpose, why am I here etc,” are questions that every person on this planet will ask. As Christian educators, we need to know how to help our students answer these questions through a biblical worldview that shares with them that we are all created in God’s image, that we are in need of a savior, that God has plans made for us and that he loves us deeply.

In math, I always remind my students that you can do all things in Christ who strengthens you. Even the HARD math problems. I also use different stories out of the bible about overcoming obstacles when the students say they could never do a math problem.
