I am currently not a teach in a school. I do like the concept that there is a purpose in life and a purpose for you as basis of education. If not, then when even bother with a education.

We are doing God’s work. The Christian philosophy of education applies to children all over the world. We are to carry the truths from the Scriptures to our students. Bible truths are the foundation/bedrock of what we need to teach. We can have an impact for future of our charges and for eternity. My work in the classroom is to help students “know and serve God.” Therefore I need to remember that and think ahead beyond just the subject matter. I should be a godly example and reinforce the truths of God’s Word.

The concepts discussed in this lesson apply to the work in my classroom because we start our day every morning with prayer. We acknowledge where our help comes from and what source we look to to guide us through our day. We also learn about the Bible and read different passages together in God’s word during Bible course to learn more about the world and man through God’s eyes. On a social-emotional level when students get in fights or act out, we go to scripture to understand why it is important to strive to love others and show the fruits of the spirit- and that our ultimate role model is Jesus.

I love that I work in a Christian School where I am not limited about teaching students about the importance of knowing the answers to the big questions of life, such as: Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? What is the meaning of life? I love that I can answer them using scripture and keep them looking at life with eternity in mind. There were moments when I worked in Public Schools that I knew God had me there to point students to Him, and pray for them when I saw that their foundation wasn’t being set on Him. I always prayed for their salvation and knew that their next teacher might have a different influence on them. I knew God had a purpose for me during the short time I had my students, and he continues to use me anywhere He has me.

I teach MS Logic in our Christian school. Incorporating the truth of the scripture and teaching this course from a biblical worldview is a must! Students are reminded daily that they were created with a purpose and for a purpose. A major focus of our lessons is that biblical truth needs to be brought into all of their conversations and everyday life. The most important lesson that I hope my students learn from my course that is the they are fearfully and wonderfully made by a loving God and seeking a personal relationship with Him is the most important decision they will make!
