As an educator, I have a unique opportunity to influence my students. By consistently building upon this, I can instill in them the godly principles they need for a successful life.

The experience from the life history of Apostle John was an eye opener in leading the students to discover themselves at early age to know that you cannot do anything in life without God.
The concept of “who am I” goes a long way in creating a mind of purposeful living that can impact life, invest in people, add values to your generation etc. in the way of God.

After listening to the video clip of lesson two, I can say boldly that I am created to impact lives beyond my classroom subject contents. It may be exhausting in building
lives and teaching young people and teaching children but it is a calling that has eternal rewards. I am rounding off my statement that I am called to inspire students to live with eternity in mind, making decisions that honor God and reflect His kingdom values. -
I am not yet teaching in a Christian classroom, but my own Christian philosophy while teaching in the public schools led me to love and esteem my students, to teach them as valuable, even when the world (and instructional coaches) said to not help them because they were “too low.” I saw my students shine and blossom. Many of my students made incredible gains academically, as Dr. Black described about urban and mission school students in the video. It makes all the difference! I look forward to teaching in a Christian school where I can more fully apply these concepts and teach my students in ways that help them to be securely saved, loving God, loving Jesus, loving people, and ready for a happy existence in eternity when they eventually arrive there.

Who am I? I am a creation of God and my purpose is to know and serve him – even when I don’t know why he led me to be a librarian at a Christian school. It reminds me to keep an open mind and pray that he guides me in the direction I need to go and to be an example for my students.
