How do the concepts discussed in this lesson apply to your work in your classroom?

Many times it’s the wrong answers to the big questions that inhibit students from learning truth correctly. They have to see the purpose of who they are and the idea that God Almighty wants to use them in order to value the education that they are getting. Having the right answers to the big questions paves the way for education to be fruitful.

I think the truth we know about who we are, why we are here, where we are going should be the framework around which instruction is guided.

These concepts give me a greater focus and remind me of my purpose in the classroom. Reminding children that they are created by God, the One True God, gives them purpose and value. When they can understand that, then they can go out into the world and live out the mission God has given to them. It also helps them to cope with the challenges that they will face in this world.

It definitely gives me a better perspective on the fact that I am in christian education to teach my students, but to also help them grow towards God. They will look to me for guidance on where they should go and what they should do both educationally and spiritually.
