The concepts discussed in this lesson keep me on track of who we are, who Christ is, where I came from and the meaning of life which is so important in a Christian classroom. I sometimes do a devotional before course and then we pray and get to work. I want that devotional of the day to spill out into the rest of the course time.

We each have to walk a different path on this earth during the lifetime we are given by the One True God. I am being educated remotely via laptop computer in the comforts of my own kitchen, I will resume teaching elementary school in the fall in a Rural Christian School with children that come from the local tri-state region. I will also interact with several teenagers from the high school wing, who come from many countries around the world at our international campus and serve a student aides. This is my location on planet earth. Others, as the lecturer mentioned walked 3 days to learn about Christian Philosophy and yet others teach in Urban settings where the demographics are unique.

Each educational environment and location comes with its unique situations and challenges as well as universal difficulties. There are children in all school that suffer from neglect in many forms. We can provide a safe environment for them during the day and provide solid educationally and nutritionally to fill the gaps that are a part of living in a fallen world, but the main thrust as a Christian Educator, is to provide for their eternal lives that will continue far beyond their temporary circumstances whether they be ideal or less than.

John was young when God called him to ministry, John was faithful over decades of ministry, John was Loved by Jesus (as he called himself), John in his leadership was present. John showed up and John was trusted by the one True God. In the classroom, I want to be faithful over decades of service to the one true God. I want to be present and I want to be used by the Most High for His purposes.

I am a music teacher at a Christian School. In my classroom, we sing praise and worship songs. I talk with them about everyone and everything being wonderfully and magnificently make by Him. When teasing arrives, I talk to them a being a child of God if they are saved. I talk about how we should love each other as God loves us. I teach music but I try (and don’t always succeed) to keep God as the focus.

I love that you talk to the kids when teasing arrises. Teaching children to respect every person as an important person created in God’s image is such a valuable lesson. None of us succeed all the time. But this students still hear us and know our hearts.
