How do you currently encourage your students to find their God-given calling?

I encourage them to lean on God as they do their studies. I believe that if you lean on God, then God will lead you to his path and calling.

I ask the students at different times during the year what they would like to be or do when they grow up. We talk about serving God by helping others and that whatever we do, we should always give our best effort in order to please and honor God. I am convicted to change my conversation a bit into finding their God given calling.

I try to have open discussions and talk about my calling and giftings, and see if they can see what their callings are or if they’ve thought about it.

I tell them that subjects/disciplines are interwoven and what they learn in my class can help them in their future no matter what their field of study. I also encourage them to use opportunities to grow in other areas such as speaking and learning other languages family members who are fluent.

I coach soccer at the school also. I strongly encourage my students who are have the natural/raw talent for the the sport to look at further education where they can continue to play.
