In my mentoring sessions I encourage my students to see themselves through Gods lens, through His Word. Gods plan, purpose are intentional with regards to each of us, such as we see in Jeremiah 29:11, He gives us hope and a future, kids need to know that no matter what others say about them, no matter the circumstance they are living, God is a God who sees them because He wants to see them and He loves them.

Many of my students really love my Spanish course. Some of them even want to pursue it as a career or second major. I encourage them by telling them that if the Lord gave them that gift, they should embrace it and keep going. Learning a second language is a huge opportunity to share the Word of God, work in different ministries and expand their horizons.

I encourage my children to remember to take time during their day to talk to God. I also encourage them to try and do something new that they have never done before.

Students are encouraged to see where God is leading them. This is often the calling from God giving them hobbies and interests.

Calling and eternity should impact every area of how we live our lives.
