Talking with students and getting to know them is key in helping them find their calling. The more we know about a student’s personality, interests, skills, talents, and experiences, the more we can help direct them toward what God has equipped them to do.

I need to grow in encouraging students to use their God-given gifts for the kingdom. I do encourage students when they do well on assessments especially after doing poor the first time or even knowing that they put in good work leading up to good results.

I get to know my students and their interests beyond math course. I encourage my students to use their talents toward their God-given calling.

At the beginning of the year we do an “All about Me” project. The focus is on the student and their interests as well as questionairs/ar graphs of things they are gifted in. Throughout the year we revisit that project to review, and add.

As young people, I encourage them to expose themselves to different activities, tasks, places, and people to find their real calling.
