I encourage students to find their God-given calling my studying scripture and praying. Be silent and listen for God to speak to them. The students need to continue to hold fast to Christ and continue to look for His well in their lives.

What I have done in the past with 3rd – 5th grade students is talk about their future and also possible colleges they are thinking about attending. I like to show students that it is not just to pass the grade that they are in, but what lies beyond elementary, middle, and high school.

(Since I haven’t had my own classroom yet), I will encourage my students to find their God-given calling, by building a trusting relationship with them to get to know them and their interests. I will seek to discover their talents and try to help them recognize the talent God has blessed them with and encourage them build upon that.

I encourage my students to try different things in life. And I encourage them to do it in community. This way students can get feedback about what others see them doing.

In free writing and through college career course, I encourage my students to write about the things that interest them, their goals, and their gifts.
