Mapping out units can be time consuming and overwhelming, but it helps me stay organized and focused on the most important elements of what I want to teach. Integrating biblical lessons makes me excited because I know that students are not only learning the skills needed for our content area, but they are also being impacted spiritually. Guiding students in their faith journey and teaching them biblical truth is a responsibility that I take very seriously.

I am excited about being in a Christian school where I can openly teach God’s Word and pray. I am overwhelmed by the responsibility. I take this opportunity to impact student’s lives for the cause of Christ seriously. I want to honor God through it all. I am certain there will challenges expected and unexpected.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to develop biblically integrated units and lessons. I have just recently transferred to a Christian school, but coming from the Public Schools system where I had the opportunity to work at several schools, I see it as a privilege to be able to openly talk about God and plan with a Biblical Scope and Sequence. I know it will be challenging since it’s not something I have ever done before, but I know the Holy Spirit will bring to mind all my previous Biblical knowledge during my Curriculum development.

As a new teacher, I feel a little overwhelmed to add another thing to my lesson planning, but when I consider the importance of Biblical integration, I am excited to incorporate it. I think it is also beneficial to teaching students how the bible is applicable to all areas of life.

I feel excited more than anything. I developed some very good lessons incorporating biblical integration this past year, but using the knowledge I now have, I am excited to start this process at the unit level. One of my goals for this upcoming year is to incorporate more biblical integration into my lessons, so starting at the unit level will be a great step forward.
