I look at this as an exciting task that calls me to be very creative. My main curriculum I develop is for Middle School PE dance course. This can be challenging but I enjoy finding new ways to integrate God’s word-through praise and worship and through examples in dance history of dance pieces that were done in a biblical worldview to praise God through this talent that certain people were given by Him.

I am so excited about developing biblically integrated units/lessons. Coming from a public education myself, and then teaching in a public school, I am amazed and eager to learn that a biblical perspective can actually be integrated in ALL subjects. It is a wonderful thing to be able to teach students a strong biblical foundation amongst their elementary subjects.

I feel excited. I have been teaching for a few years now and I have been able to teach the same grade and use the same curriculum. I have become more familiar with how the years play out and the content that I am teaching. I feel like the more confident I am with knowing what is coming up, the easier I am able to plan more intentionally and integrate more effectively. I am excited to add more Biblical integration to my lessons.

Being a Bible Teacher I enjoy looking at the big picture and then making the larger concepts (Units) of a curriculum palatable to the learner (individual lesson plans).

I believe this is critical to our success as teacher, because in planning we are being intentional about integrating Biblical principles into our lessons. That allows for the Lord to guide and mold our lessons. It also frees us to be more focused on the students and less on daily planning when the time to teach comes. When we integrate the Word of God it also brings a special blessing to our teaching, God will open the childrens minds and hearts to learn more and also to share more. As they become more vulnerable and trusting, they will be more willing to be instructed in righteousness.
