How do you imbed the fruit of the Spirit into your classroom? Or, if you haven’t previously considered this, how might you go about it now?

Each month we focus on a different fruit of the Spirit and at the end of the month our course nominates who they felt displayed that fruit well.

We have a classroom motto of J.O.Y. Jesus first, others second, you third. When we actually practice it the fruit blossoms.

I like to imbed the fruit of the Spirit into my classroom during reading by discussing the characters fruits or lack of. We also sing a song about the fruits and discuss the meaning of each one throughout the year.

I would imbed the fruit of the Spirit into my classroom by discussing each fruit and how we can display these characteristics and why it is important. I would have a tree of fruit on the wall so they can see it visually and model that behavior so they can experience it. Each book we read I would ask if the characters are displaying the fruit of the Spirit. If not, what can they do differently.

I do not think that I have deliberately considered this. I would embed the fruit of the spirit in my classroom by allowing correction to be done in a way that was inline with the fruits. This is challenging.
