I use the fruits of the spirit as my expectations. If they are doing an exceptional job, they will earn a fruit of the spirit ticket.

I plan on incorporating the fruit of the spirit as part of my student expectations. My students and I need to act with the fruit of the spirit. This should guide how we will all interact with others.

I have done a fruit of the spirit lesson for the beginning of school. It helped establish how we should behave not because someone told us to but because the Bible gives us a direction to. I explain that God wants us to live a fulfilling life and that we should follow the fruits of the spirit to be the people God wants us to be.

One fun way to incorporate the fruits of the spirit is through a poster or fun art work that represents the attributes. Of course, as Christian educators we can remind our students of the fruits of the spirit when we pray or engage in biblical discussion of conduct.

I plan to make a poster and a checklist to help students and myself make a habit of using the Fruit of the Spirit in the classroom.
