Students have these questions as well, and they watch and learn from all of their mentors and role models, me included. As I walk out my life, my faith, in answer to some of those exact questions right in front of them, my influence of students becomes more weighted.

When I believe that each student is created in the image of God to know God, I take my role as their teacher more seriously. I am able to better love and teach my students and recognize the importance of teaching Christian truths that will have eternal impact.

Ethical and Moral Foundation: Recognizing that ethical questions are rooted in a biblical worldview helps the educator guide students in developing a strong moral compass. They can encourage students to make ethical decisions based on Christian values, leading to a culture of honesty, kindness, and respect in the classroom.

Faith Integration: Knowing that faith is an integral part of life from a Christian perspective, the educator seeks opportunities to integrate faith into the learning process. They can relate academic subjects to biblical truths, demonstrating how faith is relevant and applicable to various aspects of life.

Student-Centered Approach: Acknowledging the eternal significance of each student’s life influences the educator to adopt a student-centered approach. They prioritize not only the academic growth of their students but also their spiritual and personal development, acting as mentors and role models.

Eternal Impact: Understanding the concept of eternal life motivates the educator to recognize the potential long-term impact they can have on their students’ lives. They strive to impart knowledge and values that will positively shape their students’ journeys beyond their time in the classroom.

Sense of Mission: Embracing the idea of “educating for eternity” gives the educator a sense of mission and purpose in their role. They understand that they are not just teaching subject matter but playing a significant part in preparing students for both their temporal and eternal lives.

Open and Respectful Environment: Embracing the importance of open and respectful discussions about faith and life questions fosters an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance in the classroom. The educator encourages students to explore their beliefs and engage in thoughtful conversations while nurturing a sense of community
