Understanding who I am, where I came from, and what my purpose is in life influences my classroom everyday. I remind my kids daily as they leave me…Remember Who you are. and Whose you are. This is to remind them to follow God’s will in all that they do and remember they are representing him to those around them. Regardless of “no one’s paying attention to me”…someone is always watching. Attempting to see how a Christian acts or responds when things do not go as planned. A phrase often used around me “I may be the only Bible others may ever see” resonates deeply for me. Understanding my purpose and demonstrating God’s love for others through me influences my role as an educator because it is far more truthful that I care to believe.

If we are mindful of this concept and rely on the Holy spirit to guide as we teach, we can know that we are serving God faithfully in being truthful and loving in speaking the truth to our students.
