From a worldly perspective it is believed that a child is born innocent. That innocence is then corrupted by outside influences. Those influences ranging from individuals, and circumstances. Naive Foolishness is an interpretation of a Biblical reference. That reference from Proverbs 22:15 that foolishness is bound in the heart of a child. The bible states that we are not innocent but born with a sin nature that wants to pull away from God. That is Dr crabs definition of Naive foolishness.

Naive foolishness believes that no child is innocent from birth. They have selfishness and desire to satisfy longings in their own way within them before they ever act out this conviction. This is completely opposite the idea that every child is born perfectly good and that it is the bad environment and bad relational experiences that cause them to become selfish and attempt to satisfy deep longings on their own.

Nieve foolishness is a belief that we are born with sin and we can make life and relationships work By finding the things in the interactions with people that make us feel good. Childhood innocence indicates that we have no sin . It says that we are harmed by others, and only need healing.

Some people believe children do not “sin” or do immoral things until they are old enough to choose it. But this idea proves differently, because our hearts and intentions from birth are to look to the self and be self-centered with our motives. We look to anything other than God for our satisfaction, from our first breath. We misdirect our thirst.

    Naive foolishness
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” – not simply our doing, but our being.
As a result of the Fall, all human beings are born with a ‘sinful nature’ to live our lives apart from God. This is our inclination.
The goal of counseling then is to restore man into the image of God, through the Spirit of God.

This is opposed to childhood innocence that attributes the trauma he faced during his childhood shapes Him. His “nature’ is innocence, and his problem is the result of someone or something that damages his innocence. The goal of counseling is to repair or minimize the damage.
