God wants to spend time with us and by our praying we are establishing a relationship of gratefulness and understanding of what God wants from us.

He told the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18 : when we have real needs and not selfish desires, we continue to seek God’s face. If we follow the template of the Lord’s Prayer, we will pray in the will of God. We acknowledge who He is, desire the realization of His kingdom and His will above all. And we ask to cover our needs recognizing our weaknesses and requesting His help. It’s turning to God in complete dependence and adoration.
