Deleted User04/24/2023 at 15:19To come to Him, to get to know Him — broadly — as in Jesus’ model prayer, focusing on God first. Seeking God’s glory and Kingdom, and one’s part in that. Deeper, as little children — child like hearts of faith — asking, seeking, and knocking. Big, no matter how small: our Father welcomes us with open arms, to experience union with him through the privilege of prayer.

Deleted User04/20/2023 at 09:43Jesus wants us to pray to be with God, to know Him and hear from Him. To pray God’s heart not just for our needs. To pray for the things of God and for others beyond our personal concerns and needs.

He teaches us to focus on God first – in acknowledging His greatness, in desiring that He be honored, in desiring His kingdom to come and His will to be done. He teaches us how to pray for provision (daily bread), forgiveness, and protection (from temptation).
