We are encouraged to ask for forgiveness of our sins, with the reminder we should forgive those who sin (cause us pain) against us. We are encouraged to ask for our daily needs, and protection from evil. The prayer takes in both the natural and spiritual aspects of daily life. And Jesus’ example of praying often brings prayer into our daily lives versus occasional practice.
